Waves Occupational Therapy was founded by Dawn Berryman, a passionate Occupational Therapist committed to helping children and families. After working in the NHS, she saw families struggle with long waiting times, limited therapy, and a lack of hands-on rehabilitation. She knew there had to be a better way.

Determined to fill the gap, Dawn created Waves OT. Her goal was simple—deliver timely, effective, and personalised therapy. By working directly with families, she could provide practical, real-world solutions that truly made a difference.

As both a mother and stepmother, Dawn understands the challenges many families face. Within her family, there is lived experience of autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, auditory processing disorder, ADD, ADHD, Autism and sensory needs. She knows first-hand how the right support can transform lives.

Living on a smallholding in Cornwall with her husband, three sons, a dog, and a few chickens, Dawn balances work, family, and farm life. She knows how demanding life can be and why families need real, achievable solutions that fit into their routines.

At Waves OT, we take pride in our expert team, who are passionate about making a difference. Our therapists specialise in helping individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and sensory processing challenges. With a compassionate, evidence-based approach, we focus on improving well-being, independence, and daily function.

We know that every individual is unique. That’s why we offer personalised therapy plans, tailored to specific needs and goals. Whether supporting sensory integration, motor skill development, functional rehabilitation, or assistive technology, we help individuals thrive in daily life.

At Waves OT, we believe in empowering families with expert support that makes a lasting impact.
