Our most popular assessments

Dyspraxia / DCD assessment
£350
For children who seem clumsy, struggle with sport, or find coordination hard. Uses the MABC-2, a standardised test used by paediatricians.
Handwriting assessment
£350
For children whose writing is slow, untidy or painful. We look at grip, posture and the skills underneath.
Primitive reflex assessment
£300
Checks whether early baby reflexes are still active, as these can affect balance, posture, attention and handwriting.
Sensory integration (EASI) assessment
£1,000
For children who are very sensitive to, or seek out, noise, touch, movement or textures. Can be written as an EHCP report if needed.
Full OT assessment
£1,000
A complete picture of your child’s everyday skills, movement, sensory needs and independence. Can be written as an EHCP report if needed.

A clinic built for play
Our Truro clinic has a ball pit, climbing wall, soft play and sensory equipment, so therapy feels like play. There’s also a quiet room for parents. Can’t get to us? We’ll come to your home or your child’s school.

Dawn Berryman set up Waves OT after years in the NHS. She’s a specialist occupational therapist with advanced training in sensory integration, and a mum and stepmum with lived experience of autism, dyspraxia and ADHD. Dawn leads a small team of experienced therapists, each with their own specialism.
